Hello!

I’m an award winning editorial designer + art director who holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). I am currently based out of the D.C. and Northern Virginia area, and am the Assistant Art Director for AARP, where I work on AARP The Magazine, The Bulletin, and The Ethel from AARP, as well as other digital publications. I am also currently a part time adjunct faculty member for the MICA Graphic Design department, where I have taught courses in publication design, including leading a team of students as design director of Full Bleed Journal.

Previously, I was a designer at Washingtonian Magazine, and have also worked with Girl’s Life Magazine, L.L. Bean, The Independent Group, MICA's Career Development Center, and The Hatcher Group. I also run a freelance graphic design business on the side where I work with a wide range of clients on various brand, print, web, and digital projects.

I fell in love with design because it allows me to cross over into other areas that I’m passionate about. In order to be a successful designer, I find that you have to seek inspiration from places outside of design, which has allowed me the continuous opportunity to learn new things (I once went down a rabbit hole over the history of vacuum cleaners). I've been told that I'm fun and easy to work with, I'm used to juggling multiple responsibilities, and I always meet deadlines. If you are looking for someone who is dedicated, fun, and organized, I hope you will consider reaching out! I'm always up for taking on new projects.
